Class, Race AND Gender Requirements?!

At this time there are no class requirements to join.

I) In order to join the Company of the White Tree your character must be of the Race of Man. In addition, your character must be of Gondorian descent or loyal to Gondor through some means in you character's background at creation.

II) Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits are as of yet not allowed to join the Company of the White Tree. Though they may assosiate with the Company and assist as needed and as offered.

III) Dunedain are allowed to join the Company of the White Tree, but special rules exist regarding those of the blood of Numenor.

A ) In our roleplaying, we believe that the Dunedain exist as lore says they exist; the Rangers of the North and the Rangers of the South (Rangers of Ithilien). However, by lore, although the Rangers of Ithilien were still considered Dunedain, their Numenorean bloodlines have been watered down over the generations by inter-marrying with outsiders. Rangers of Ithilien do not benefit from the racial bonuses that Rangers of the North receive. In addition, Lore tells us that Aragorn was of the purest of bloodlines among his people, the Dunedain of the North, and as such all other Dunedain should roleplay that their Numenorean bloodlines are more "watered down" than Aragorn's. This can be roleplayed by altering the blessing of the Valar bestowed upon the Men of Numenor, or removing it entirely. Perhaps your lifespan is only slightly longer than that of the average man? Or perhaps you are not as gifted with hope and strength as your fore-fathers once were.

B ) If you are a Dunedain, please consult with one of the Kinship Administrators (Officers) for help on how best to fit your Dunedain into the kinship. We are a kinship of simple men who strive to overcome our differences and weaknesses to rise against the Shadow of Sauron and find the strength within ourselves. We are not Demi-gods or Princes of far-off lands.

Gender Requirements:
If you play a female character you must understand that this kinship isn't simply a Gondorian RP kinship, it is a Gondorian Soldier Battalion. As such, we adhere to the strict patriarchal mentality and mindset that is intended in Tolkien's writings about the Sons and Daughters of Gondor.
Women are forbidden to join the Gondorian Military or Militia Levy's in any format. It is considered uncouth and unbecomming for a woman to bear arms in the prescence of a man. As such, women in our kinship must assume a duty in the kinship that places them outside the formal rank and file of the Company at large. However it should be noted that certain exceptions may be made, through careful diligence and roleplaying, in which a woman might be formally charged with the honour of being permitted rank and duty among the Soldiers. as an example refur to the following biographies (link) (link). You will note that both biographies and the storylines that evolved in character with the kinship through carefuly planned out interactions, events and scenario's led to the adoption of biography two into the Soldiery.
So in this reguard, you the reader, planning to play a female character, may in so doing, be a woman AND a Soldier. It just requires more work and effort to become one.
